APPALLING
What a poor company to deal with, the staff are incompetent and rude promise calls back and don’t bother. We order a battery for £46 they sent me a substandard cheap battery worth £19.49 - I feel this is fraud. We are a week down the line and have no refund or resolution to return the cheap battery and get my money back- i am now a week without transport costing me extra. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.

Terrible service
Terrible service, after contacting them 3 times i still have no way of returning the faulty pressure wash, i would never recommend this company to anyone.
Its unfortunate i could give it a 0 star figure
No customer care at all at the RAC Shop
No customer care at all at the RAC Shop. A Dash Cam that has 24 months warranty on it and only 10 months in and it stops working. They asked me to return it to their supplier AT MY COST!!
They did not want to know about exchange or refund just said send it back for testing. The poorest service anyone could receive!!!! They are not all bothered so I will NEVEFR BUY FROM RAC AGAIN.
TWO Dash cams in 18 months and both failed but no customer care from the RAC.

Do not use the RAC shop I wish Ihad checked trust pilot and seen these reviews, but didn't think such a huge company would allow this nothing short of disgusting service. I have just had the same experience purchased over £500 of gear and heard nothing. The shop phone is not working have also rang every day for 6 days. I have emailed and no response.
Have now had to contact Paypal for a refund. I will be taking this matter much further.

I purchased a Nextbase 322GU Dash Cam for my son as a Christmas present. Software etc was really good initially then he was invited to instal a software upgrade. All went wrong from there!! His phone and Dashcam no longer 'speak to each other'. He is tech savvy so I doubt that is the issue plus we live many miles apart. The RAC Shop tel number I have tried many times. OK so they are busy but at all times I waited twice the average wait time PLUS I tried clling at 0200hrs to see if it was a trick....and again the same message 'We are experiencing a high volume of calls ...etc' WHAT at 0200hrs in the morning!!
My son has tried to contact the manufacturer Nextbase with similar lack of communication with a human!! I think this spells the end of internet shopping!! Bring back the High Street Shops.
Shame on you RAC and Nextbase.

Don't but anything from RAC
I bought a dash cam and onsite installation service from RAC. Upon arrival of the technician, he asked me to leave a car key for his installation and I could go to home to wait as my car just parked in the carpark downstair of my flat. After completion of the installation, the technician did not wait for me in the carpark to pass the car key to me but wait outside the carpark. Now, I understand why he need to pass my car key to me far from my car because he don't want me to check whether my car still function well before he leave. After installation, my car's window panel seems disconnected and can't close or contol all the windows in my car. I called the technician for help but he just replied me to contact my car dealer. I called the customer service for help but just gave me a fake email address for enquiry. The company is totally unacceptable.

Very poor
Very poor. DO NOT buy anything off them. I have purchased a someday battery install between a time period of 11am and 2pm. They never turned up, had to call and they told me the latest will be 5.30pm but they then called my wife asking them if they could do it the day after, she said no and would wait they then said this can be upto 12am which is a joke. I am not confident they will turn up. They should not advertise times they can not keep. I could of gotten some one else but can't now. This company is poor
Faulty camera installation
RAC Shop 'professionally installed' two cameras in my new VW last year. I noticed that my rear wiper had never worked worked so took my car to the VW dealership for inspection.
VW discovered that (in their words) "the wiring for the camera has been jammed into the fuse for the rear wiper which is why the wiper did not work. The camera needs to be wired correctly". VW were obliged to reconnect the rear wiper fuse and disconnect the cameras.
The cameras I paid nearly £500 to be installed do not function. I have emailed RAC shop twice (no response) and spent 43 minutes on hold to their customer services (nobody answered).

I was sold a car battery with 4 years guarantee and a year later the battery stopped working. I contacted RAC shop and they said they can't help and contact customer care department who don't have a phone number and way to contact them is post or email. I use my car for school run so need to use my car every day. RAC guarantee means nothing to them and you would be stuck. Don't shop here.

4/ emailed had a reply next day asking for order number .. invoice order number given, no order found!
5/ they ask me to check my email for order number!??? What email!? Never ever had one!
6/ No reply!
7/ thank god I paid through PayPay my money has been refunded and I will never order from here again!

Ding Dong they got it wrong!
Ordered a grey doorbell got sent a white one, asked to return, hold times up to an hour to speak to people who have no idea what they are doing, asking the customer to fill in returns forms that they can easily do themselves on your behalf but cant be bothered. Being told you will be called back and they don't. Wont even send the correct doorbell until they have received the white one back or refund. They are a shop front selling products for other people and don't want to deal with any issues.

RAC Battery Warranty not ownered
RAC fitted battery in Aug 2021, and gave a warranty of 3 years. I have been using car regularly for school runs, commute and social. Battery flattened last night and called RAC, who said the voltage on the battery was lower than it should be and therefore they cannot replace Battery under warranty. Not sure whose fault is that, as cars charging system is okay, it has been driven regularly. I would not recommend buying anything from RAC, especially Batteries.

10 days since order still not…
10 days since order still not dispatched. Phoned up to cancel and have been in a queue for 40 minutes so far. Still in queue so taking time to write this negative review. Urgently need engine oil and waiting over 10 days since 17 October for my oil. I guess they want people to break down to get their money for recovery
Bought dash cam
Bought dash cam, estimate time waiting says 2 mins I waited 1 hour and got cut of tried again and and waited 45 mins. Worse experience I have had, no help, 3rd party gives dates way far off to the date you select and turns up at 8 morning when booked in for 11. Still having issues with the dash cam won’t go in to parking mode Vodafone smart sim won’t activate on my number it’s been a joke and they truly don’t care. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Never again in my life would I use these guys
